Rackham Reunion - Day 2, Part 1

Today was the big day! We were up, ready and out the door by 9:45am and arrived at the specified spot a minute or two after 10:30am. We waited, and waited, and waited.

It took until almost 11:30am for everyone to finally congregate together so we could take our ginormous family picture, and then we were all on our own for the rest of the day.

One big happy family, missing 5

My family took the "Presidential Trail" around Mt. Rushmore, and it took us about an hour and a half I think. It was interesting to read about each of the presidents and why they were each chosen to be on the face of the mountain. The most entertaining point of the walk was when my sister dropped her camera case into the rocks/brush and my brother Justin (former Marine) hopped the fence and retrieved it without making a sound.

After we finished at Mt. Rushmore we stopped in nearby Keystone for lunch and souviners before heading back to the hotel, but I'll write more about that later...
