Relaxin' on Memorial Day

7 Months!

I say it every month, but the time is just flying by! It really seems like he just turned 6 months old. I guess we've been busy!

Hayden is currently 17 pounds, and still 25 inches. He has had a couple of doctor's appointments this month due to double ear infections, but he's on the mend and back to the happy boy we knew was in there somewhere. 

New this month: He's a sitter! He was able to do this by himself just a few days after his half-birthday. He loves to sit now. In the last week or so he's started to realize he can lean forward and land on his tummy to stretch and get something. This is somewhat disconcerting since it looks like he's on the verge of becoming a scooter. He has also become a champ at eating solids. Carrots seem to aggravate his reflux, but he seems to love everything else. He starts to get his tongue going whenever he sees his food and usually eats 3 meals a day. He's not really interested in bottles anymore, which makes me a little sad, but he takes 2-3 a day still. My little baby is growing up!

He's still a great napper, but not in his crib. I've been nervous to give up the nap time that he's given me, so we're going to transition him to his crib for naps when school gets out, and Darren can be home :)

This month Hayden has also become quite the squealer. He'll be playing in his jumper and just squeal and squeal, at apparently nothing. It's really hilarious.

Our little guy is still wearing his 3-6 month clothes, and size 2 diapers. He'll be in them for at least another month I think. 

Since he was busting out of his swaddling we decided to slowly take him out of it. For the last few weeks (with the exception of the time when he was sick) we've been wrapping him, but leaving one arm out. He looks like a cute one-armed little guy. We've had no problems with it, and it seems to actually help him sleep better. Imagine that!

He's still not quite a full night sleeper. He usually doesn't need to eat, but may wake up a time or two needing his pacifier. If anyone has any advice on this let us know! He did give us a straight 11 hours the other night. It was fantasic!
