We stayed down at my parents for another day after the baseball game so we could celebrate the 4th with them! We had a really relaxing day, probably went to the pool, and had a barbecue for dinner.
My brother, Justin, had to leave before it got too dark so we did our fireworks a little early. He took all the fireworks into the driveway and the younger kids got to sort through them and pick out which ones they wanted to be "theirs."

When they were all done putting them into piles, we started setting them off!
We had a great 4th, except with the neighbors down the street decided to set off illegal mortar shell fireworks that scared us spitless. We ended up calling the cops, but we never saw them come. At least we called!
We headed back home the next day so we could get ready for our trip to California the next week. Summer started to just fly by!
