California: San Francisco

A sure-fire benefit of staying with Darren's parents was that they wanted to spend as much time as possible with Hayden. That meant that we could sneak out for the day and they really didn't care :)

Our second to last day in town Darren and I took off and spent the day in San Francisco. As much as I hate driving in that stinkin' city, I sure do love spending time there.

Crossing the NEW Bay Bridge

We started the day by trying to find the Full House houses...yea, we failed. And I almost had a panic attack from driving up and down all the blasted hills. Once we decided to ditch that effort we landed down at Fisherman's Wharf and had some delicious clam chowder for lunch and did some walking.

If you know me, you know that I love chocolate. So much so, that I pretty much can't live without it. Another thing on our to-do list was to hit up Ghiradelli Square. I had been wanting to try one of their hot fudge sundaes, and it certainly did not disappoint.

It was such a fun day, and I'm so glad we were able to get away. Definitely a highlight of the trip for me.
