I can't believe Darren is 30 already! I remember when my mom turned 30. She seemed so OLD! (sorry mom)
It was a weekday, so he had to work, but we tried to make his day special. We started it off with some Chocolate Mint donuts. They were a hit!
On Friday, when Darren wasn't at the school he was at on his birthday, I headed over and decked out his office with a few surprises. I made him a "30 Sucks" thing with 30 dum-dums and a few other of his favorite candy bars. Hayden and I also picked up some Subway sandwiches and had lunch with him. I hope he knows how much we love him!!
After dinner we had presents and cake. I originally tried to get 30 different gifts for him, but that was so hard (and too expensive), so I just got him a bunch of stuff. The best gift, in my opinion, was all the letters I had his friends and family write. It was such a surprise to him and it was great to see his reaction to how much he is loved.
We love you Darren. Hope you're next 30 years are just as great!!
